This video was produced as an information piece for students who wanted to learn more about the GIS class offered. "Ever wanted to take River City High Schools Global Information Systems class but wasn't sure what it was about? This video is a great introduction to the types of things you'll be learning in the GIS class."
Students used a template and worksheet to create the outline for the video. They were then given a video camera and set free. The parts in the template that have text or animation were at the request of the students. Everything was handed off to an editor (Barber Films) and bingo!

This template is used for creating a Public Service Announcement with K-8 students. Students are given a worksheet for each of the frames associated with the animation. They then use a digital camera, video or stills, to create the content for the PSA. The animation can then be easily assembled, by another class, individual, student, parent, anyone really... who knows the basic functions of Adobe After Effects :-)
